In Icarus’ story, there’s a moment, in which the crowd see him flying, and start cheering enthusiastically from down below. The others’ admiration of his areal performance intoxicates him and his pride blinds his eyes. Mistaking himself for a god, he exceeds his physical limits and defying his father’s warnings, flies closer to the sun.
